One key to good health is exercise. But some of us don’t enjoy going to a gym to exercise. I am one of them. The last gym I joined had a movie theater filled with walking and biking equipment. That wasn’t always enough to get me going. I liked group activities so classes were good. But now we have to worry about social distancing. I can kayak, bike, walk, run, roller blade, but not in the snow or very cold weather. So what is this thing called Mall Walking? Let me explain….
As we get older we become more limited, but walking is always something we can do. Mall Walking is great exercise without the gym. Great in cold or hot weather. Go before stores open if you tend to buy stuff you don’t need. Yes most malls open way before the actual stores do. Window shopping is free. So a walk before work is in the cards. The coffee shops tend to be open, so stop for your coffee and walk. Don’t wait at those crowded coffee shops, waiting is not how I want to start my day.
To find a mall type “malls near me” in Google.com. A little more research is required to find a mall that has indoor shared space to walk in. In Connecticut there are some good malls to walk: West Farms Mall, Buckland Mall, Enfield Mall, Danbury Fair Mall, Westfield Trumbull Mall, Brass Mill in Waterbury
